On behalf of Both People & Comms, I have advised and conceptualised for 3 years part of the programme activities of CASA SEAT, to link its newly opened space to the cultural, artistic and business life of Barcelona. My services beyond conceptualising the event were contacting, inviting and negotiating speakers and fees, preparing the scripts for the sessions, inviting relevant people and institutions to create a zero row, coordinating the production and creating an agenda of VIP meetings and press interviews if the speakers came from outside the city.
CASA SEAT
Success
1. Creating relevant content for the SEAT and CUPRA hubs, which have been attractive to their target audiences (branding experience).
2. Communicating in a relevant way to achieve maximum awareness and engagement with our community and the media.
3. Turning CASA SEAT into a space open to citizens to imagine, generate ideas and respond to the challenges of mobility, creativity, innovation and sustainability of the future.
Our purpose has been to turn CASA SEAT into an encounter and collaborative space between the world of entrepreneurship, the digital industry, science, arts, culture and mobility to turn CASA SEAT into a hub of mobility and urban culture open to citizens to promote the values of the SEAT, CUPRA and SEAT MO brands. Between 2020 and 2022 we have designed, conceptualised and executed most of the events organised at CASA SEA. Except for certain VIP events that were by invitation only, 90% were free events and open to the public upon registration on their website for capacity reasons. Specifically between April and December 2020, we have organised and produced with Both People & Comms more than 60 events of our own content, (taking into account the pandemic context that greatly affected the content strategy in part digital or hybrid). During 2021, there were more than 100 events (some were still hybrid) and in 2022 more than 90 events (all face-to-face).
One of my task at CASA ASIA was to organise conferences with inspiring international speakers every two months. Among the personalities who participated were Rémi Parmentier, French environmental activist, who participated in the creation of Greenpeace, Alicia Charles Project Lead, Cities, Infrastructure and Urban Services Platform, of the World Economic Forum, Bruno Giusani, TED Curator, Mamphela Ramphele, South African Anti-Apartheid Activistr and Co- President of the Club of Rome, John Moavenzadeh, Executive Director of Urban Mobility at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) etc. In addition to conferences, we conceptualised and produced exhibitions such as the exhibition Fusta i Rodes on the history of skate or Barcelona 92: the impulse of a city on the impact of the Olimpic games in our city and we organised performances with established artists such as Miguel Poveda Sara Baras, Antonio Orozco, Ismael Serrano, Lola Índigo, Álvaro Soler Bad Gyal and emerging artists such as Alba Corral, Jeff Darko, Sheila Blanco, or Stay Homas. We also programmed every year artistic activities for Sant Jordi and a cycle of literary cafés coordinated by the writer Jorge Carrión.
